The Imitation Game

這電影吸引我入場的原因當然是多個獎項提名，但另一原因，是這個故事的主角 Alan Turing。

老一輩讀 Computer Science 的，應該都聽過 Turing Machine 和 Turing Test。他被譽為 the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence。這電影是跟據書本《Alan Turing: The Enigma》而創作。

故事主要講述二次大戰時 Alan Turing 如何破解德軍的密碼系統 Engima，當中夾雜著真實與創作的內容。如果要知道更多史實，最好還是看看《Alan Turing: The Enigma》和在網上資料。我不建議帶著找跟歷史不符之處的心態看這電影，因為我覺得電影想講的內容，並不只是解密。

坦白講，電影主線和劇情的推進並不十分豐富和流暢，但電影三番四次提到的一些內容卻令我感受深刻。

電影的名字叫 The Imitation Game 而非什麼什麼 Enigma。為什麼呢？如果電影的重心是解密，應該用有 Enigma 這字的名稱會更貼切。The Imitation Game 本身是一個遊戲，玩家甲是一名男子，玩家乙是一名女子，而玩家丙是在不知甲乙的性別下靠著問甲乙問題而去猜出他們誰是男誰是女。後來 Alan Turing 提出將甲或乙改成電腦，而丙則要分辨出誰是電腦。此遊戲是要去測試電腦能否表現如人類〈人工智能〉。

電影內幼年時的 Alan 曾表示，人和人傾談時，他們從不講出真心話，但他們卻預期對方能知道自己的心意。電影清楚描述了 Alan 的性格，他跟人交流時就像電腦一樣直接而不帶情感。這樣的一個人不被其他人接納。雖然他的天才幫助了國家幫助了民眾，但最後卻因他的性取向而被憎恨、被懲 罰、被捨棄，最後帶著一點點迷而離開了世界。

所以，片名叫 The Imitation Game，是因為要解構人這種生物，難度遠超電腦解密。

另外，戲中男主角兩次說出以下的對白：

Do you know why people like violence? It is because it feels good. Humans find violence deeply satisfying. But remove the satisfaction, and the act becomes... hollow.

我覺得，像電腦的他，比人更了解人。
